Cheers! Our National conference is just 3 weeks away. The Kerala chapter of AROI is glad to welcome you all to the 'God's own country'.
Please register at the earliest if you haven't and we are pleased to offer you further concessions in registration charges. I am sure this time you will be able to couple your scientific programme with sight seeing. We have invited 25 eminent international faculty besides top consultants from different major centers in India.
Kindly don't hesitate to plan a trip to Kerala from now onwards as otherwise you will be missing a lot. We have taken great pains to get this faculty from all over the world for the scientific programme. There will not be any formal Tea/Coffee breaks for this conference. However Tea/Coffee will be served all the time for your convenience.
Kindly be with us upto 23rd November ie till the valedictory function is over. Special prizes worth thousands of rupees await participants on 23rd November 2003. A lucky dip will be done and the prizes will be awarded to two of the delegates. We are introducing an exciting session on Radiotherapy planning & Contouring and the same is scheduled on 23rd November 2003 AN.
Please register with your names as the session is open only to a limited number of participants on a first come first serve basis. Further on the final day at 4.00 PM we are planning a boat cruise through the Vembanadu Lake followed by something very special which we will be announcing during the conference.

Mode of payment: All payments are to be made only by Crossed Demand Draft in favour of "AROICON-2003" payable at Kochi.
Cancellation: If a written notice of cancellation is received by October 31, 2003 the registration fee (minus a charge of 20% processing fee) will be refunded. All refunds will be made within 6-8 weeks of conclusion of the conference. No refund will be possible after October 31, 2003.
Language
The official language of the conference is English. All scientific and educational programmes will be in English only.

FELLOWSHIPS & AWARDS OF AROICON-2003
1. Dr. Neal/Dr. Joseph
Four, for a period of 1-3 months at a reputed radiotherapy center in India. The applicant should be 35 years or less, PG or 5 years post MD and should be a life member. Value of award is Rs. 5000/- each.
2. Smt. Parwati Devi Best Paper Award
One. The applicant should be 35 years or less, PG or 7 years post MD and should be a life member. The person should present unpublished work. The winner is awarded a Medal.
3. Dr. J. M. Pinto Best Paper Award
One. The applicant should be 35 years or less, PG or 7 years post MD and should be a life member. The person should present unpublished work. The winner is awarded a Medal.
4. AIROP Best Paper Award
One. For Medical Physicist who should be 35 years or less, The person should present unpublished work. The winner is awarded Rs. 500/-.
5. Travel Grants
Value of each grant is Rs. 500/-. Preference will be given to paper presenters in the Best Paper Award category and those not awarded earlier.
- a. Radiation Oncologist: Five slots. The applicant should be 35 years or less, PG or 5 years Post MD
- b. Medical Physicist: Two slots
6. Trade Member Award
One Citation / Memento is given to a trade member for outstanding contribution to AROI.
Note:
Best Paper Awards: Delegates, who wish to compete for the award should submit the full paper, along with an application to the Secretary General, AROI., Dr. K. T. Bhowmik before 15/09/2003. The paper should accompany a certificate from the Head of the Department stating that the applicant himself/ herself has done the work in India.
